Replacement clutch
I have a problem with my clutch slipping in high gear. Can I get some feedback on a good but not too expensive clutch replacement, the truck is an 03 ctd with 373 rearend 5600 trans, edge box set at 80 hp, 4 inch exhaust, afe filter everything else is stock. My driving consists of 80% empty city driving, 20% towing 15,ooo lbs trlr. thx in advance

I would call Peter at South Bend, tell him what you are up to, and take it from there. Their customer service is unmatched, and they back it all up with great products!
I ran one of the DD's in my 1999, and really liked it. I went with a slushbox on this rig for a variety of reasons, but I would hands down be using a South Bend product if I were driving a 6 shooter.
Another thing to factor into the equation is the install cost. Not a huge deal I suppose, but not something I would wanna do every two years either. You may put "more clutch" in than you need for longevity. Just a thought.

Get a "FE" style clutch. Those are suppose to be good up to about 500hp....so it should last a reallllly long time.
I am in the same boat as you are, its just about clutch time for me too.

I just put the Con FE in mine. It holds great considering the power I'm making. It does chatter pretty good on takeoff though. I like it but if you aren't planning on bombing yours any more then, I'd go with the Con OFE to eliminate chatter. The Con FE does not slip at all on takeoff. I'm pushing the edge with mine but so far so good...
