Replaced Lift Pump But Still Hard To Start

So The truck was hard starting for a while so I finally brought it in to have it looked at. They tested the lift pump and they said it was bad so they put the new one in the tank. It started up fine for about a week or two but now it almost doesn't start at all. One time I used starting fluid and it started right up. Is that bad to do? Anyways, its only hard to start when its hot and humid. When the sun is down it starts right up so i'm thinking it may be a bad temperature sensor or something. What do you guys think? Thanks, Ted
