Removing Rear Driveshaft

Removing Rear Driveshaft
Can I remove my rear driveshaft and drive with only the front in 4 wheel drive to diagnose a vibration I think is cominf from it? Will the fluid run out of the transfer case or would I be okay? My vibration is coming from the rear of the truck and I can't figure it out. I have replaced all of the u-joints and the carrier bearing less then a thousand miles ago. I have heard there is a problem with the rear rotos being out of balance? Has this been brought up before? The only other choices I have are the pinion bearing and going to a 1 piece driveshaft. Thanks for any help.

You might get some tranny fluid leaking . I Had a bad u joint in the rear, with some vibration. I lifted the rear of the truck with a fork lift , and put it in drive up to 20 mph??to confirm( to make sure it wasn't the front). kinda scary, but it worked.
