Remote fuel filter setup with FuelBoss mechanical lift pump

Hey guys-

I'm going to be putting a Fuel Boss mechanical lift pump into my '06, and I wanted to install an additional 2 mic fuel filter in between the stock canister and the new pump. I've seen that some guys have put on Cat filters or Fleetguard 2 mic filters, but I've not been able to get any part numbers. I'm going to keep the stock filter in place for water separation.

Anyone have any part numbers for (1) the filter head, and (2) the filters? Any suggestions for where to mount it? And where did you find the parts?

Thanks!

Im using a Baldwin FB1311 Fuel filter base with a Cat 1R-0750 filter (2 mic).

Cat 1R-0750 is the 2um for the GDP kit.

I also recommend a Baldwin FS1212 between the tank and pump.

I have installed the GDP kit and will be installing the Fuel Boss. My kit came with a 20 mic inline. I am with AH64ID on this (he has done the research).

You can piece together the kit or just save time and spend a little more... get the Glacier kit and be done. Then go with the Cat.

I did the 2 mic first and am seeing 8+ psi and can pull it down... looking forward to the Fuel Boss...

good luck

Thanks guys. I figure that I'll plumb the GDP inline filter between the pump and the fuel filter bowl on the block. I figured that I'd use the CAT 1R0750 on the GDP kit for 2 mcg filtration, and then stock fuel filter in the bowl for water separation. I've read that the CAT filter absorbs a lot of water too, so it kind of kills two birds with one stone. Once I have everything set up, I'll get underneath with the camera and post some pics.

Personally i wouldn't put the 2um filter first, i would put the OE filter first. This is because the 2um will plug very fast if its your first line of defense, it should be at least your 2nd, if not last.
