Recanting XZT problems
First: thanks for the guidance, qzilla.
I took my truck into the dealer on monday with 95k miles on the truck and asked for some help TS'ing why I was getting poor fuel milage. In 15 minutes the service tech walks up to me and hands me the keys. I asked what was wrong with the truck, and he tells me that the ECM has never been re-flashed. I was 10 software revisions behind where I should have been. He promised slightly better fuel economy since somewhere in those updates was a fuel managemment improvement program.
Well it didn't fix my original problem at all, but something about one of those program updates unlocked the power behind the XZT module. Even without the module, the truck showed a lot more responsiveness, transmission shifts a little firmer and dare I imagine slightly more power? Heck. Even the door locks seem to operate more firm. jk!
I've cruized from Denver, CO down to Melbourne, FL. Half way through the trip, I swapped in the XZT. There is definately more power behind the module with the ECM up-to-date. Fuel milage isn't any better with the XZT, but it's not causing a 5 MPG decrease like it was.
I still have issues to diagnose with the less than stellar fuel milage, but the XZT seems to be delivering on it's promised additional power.

Thats good to know! I hope to see some improvements with an XZT module as well. 1 more paycheck and we'll be puttin' in an order! Hopefully to get the commander too! I have noticed that on Quads site, they have a package deal for commander and XZT. Can I get that (combo package) through the DTR store? Want to give them as much business as I can!
