rear pumpkin gasket

realized today that i have a small leak in my rear pumpkin. called for a price on a part from napa, they said theres was a reusable gasket.

im wondering, are these what the trucks come with from the factory? if so, i can just clean mine up and replace it right? TIA

They do come with a reusable rubber gasket and they normally do not leak. You can pull the cover, clean everything up and inspect the gasket for any tears or damage. If there is no damage reuse it.

^^^^ This.
I forget the torque specs, but it's not a lot. Be careful when tightening the bolts.

+1 I just reused mine as well...

FWIW specs are 30ft-lbs as per the Service Manual. I torqued mine in a pattern similar to torquing a wheel and all is well.
