RE-flash for a/c and powersteering vibration solved

Based on information i found on this site, I brought my 2004.5 600 in to the dealer for warm a/c at idle and loud rattle from dash area at approx. 2000 rpms. I told them that I knew of a Tsb for these issues. In short they reflashed the computer which solved the a/c problem - Cold as Ice. THey also replaced the powersteering hoses w/ updated version. What a differance, the truck is quiet and w/o rattles. It's amazing how much noise was produced from those darn hoses. I strongly suggest having t his done to your vehicles even if the rattle does't present a problem to you. As far as the reflash, I didn't loose any performance. iT EVEN SEEMS A LITTLE BETTER, maybe not but I enjoy driving it more w/o those rattles. I will try to have them up date the computer when the TSB comes out for poor milage.

Thanks for the info dieseljerk! Just what I was looking for. Looks like I'll be going in for the reflash.

Nothing to do with anything, just funny!

I'm glad it worked out for you. I know it can be frustrating having those kinds of problems with a new vehicle, so it's great that you now have a smooth powerful ride

I have had several wrinkels ironned out since I brought my 03 home in 12/2002 and I am very happy with the way the dealer has treated me at Bremerton Dodge even though I bought the truck at Dave Smith Motors. I have never heard that saying they all do that maybe it is me but I doubt it.

What is the TSB number for the reflash? And is it just for the A/C or for both the mileage and A/C issue?

I brought my truck in twice for poor A/C at idle and they said there is nothing wrong with it. They said there are no TSB's for poor A/C.

Yeah, I'd like to know about the A/C reflash too (i.e. TSB # etc). Is it just for while idling or does it help while driving too? My A/C is very poor... while cruising, it takes about an hour on full blast max A/C (recirc) to get cold enough to have to back it off a notch.

Reflash for poor A/C performance at idle TSB 18-043-03
and for all you w/ 6 spd TSB 06-001-03 for rattle sound from clutch at idle

All this information can be found on Dodgeram.info I found a link on this site. I brought a copy of the TSB to dealer so there was no way around it. Any other questioned just reply.

Is it just me or does it seem a crime that the computer runs the A/C?

When I look up both of those TSBs, they're both listed for 2003. Why is this for the 600 if they're in the 04s?
