Rattle in the new oil filter...

i have a fleetgaurd stratapore oil filter that i bought in a 30,000 mile kit from geno's. (the 4 oil filters and 2 fuel) well one of the oil filters "clunk" when i shake it side to side. none of the others do it, did i get a bad one? should i return it? does anyone else remember one of theres doing this?

thanks for the help, thought i would ask before calling up geno's and getting them to send me a new one.

I wouldn't run it, too cheap of a part incase something is wrong with it. I order from them too and they should replace it. Good guys.

While that may be normal for a Fram, it shouldn't happen on anything of better quality. Send it back!

When you look at the price of a long block vs the price of a filter, I absolutely wouldn't risk running it.

JMHO.

well got around to calling geno's, and without hesitation they are sending me a new one, and not even worrying about the old one coming back. no cost, no shipping, nothing! Talk about great customer service!

Having done business with Geno's myself, I kind of figured they would just send you another one like that...

Typical of how they take care of customers...
