Rail Pressure and Towing

Rail Pressure and Towing
So I hooked up to a nice load over the weekend (scrap aluminum and copper) and weighed in at 19.3k. I drove about 4 hours out speeds of 60-65 with not much elevation change beyond some hills and highway on and off ramps. Drove back the next day after unloading and getting myself down to 11k. My question is what kind of rail pressures do you normally see while towing. Mine seemed to be highest 20-21k when cruising on a flat stretch and downhill while they would drop down 15-16k when i would hit a small hill. EGTs stayed below 1100 max and cruised at 65 at 750-850. Just wondering what normal is?
The MPG still amazes me though on my cummins, running hand calculated 12.98 mpg. would have been better had i not idled the truck while they took an hour unloading it. Fuel consumption was 2.8gph so i'm not complaining. Just want to know normal.

I would say that my rail pressure is about the same as your with similar loads. While I am at a different altitude, the performance side of things is certainly consistent in pressures. I get similar fuel mileage as well, but here in New Mexico I am running up/down a lot of steep grades. My egt's are lower, but I am running twins.
