Question about water pump week hole.

Question about water pump week hole.
Just did the 15k maintenance on my 04 3500 with Cummins. All went well except I could not find the weep hole on the water pump. I was standing in front of truck, pointing towards the rear of truck, looking down behind the fan shroud. I believe the water pump was to the right and below the alternator. It was cast iron looking and the belt ran it by making contact with pully on its non grooved side.
Ok so I could not for the life of me see the weep hole. Any advice?
One other question I changed the fuel filter. Said to clean the water in fuel sensor. I believe it was a black protrusion about 3/4 of the way down in the filter container. It had two small silver probes sticking out of it. Was this it?

I have seen the water pumps in two versions. One has a hole abut 5/16 diameter on the drivers side as it is mounted on the engine. The other does not have a hole. There is a depression in the casting where the pump bolts to the block, allowing the exit of water. This type does not show an actual hole but just leaks down the block at the pump.
The probe in the filter is the water in fuel sensor. Fuel will not short the terminals but water will.
