I figured while I am at it, I'll get another question off my chest. Any of you using just a Commander to monitor vitals? Are you happy with it? Do you like it better than the analog gauges?

Those that are running guages too, how does it compare? If you had to choose one, which would you rather have and why?

I PM'd Quad to get a price on a setup but I am still trying to decide which to get. I like the looks of the analogs but I like the simplicity and the defueling option on the Commander. I don't have money for both now so I need to make a choice.

Thanx
Al

when i bought mine back in october- the word from quad was that cables would be available in a couple of weeks in order to use the commander with the edge juice- well, they are not still available!! the other problem is my water temp keeps flashing on the screen for some reason. my "warning temp" is set much higher than the temp flashing on the screen. i have a good connection to the correct wire and a good ground-still can not get a solid answer on this!!

I like my Commander. Had a problem with it, customer support was excellent, fixed me right up, plus they are still working on upgrades for the Commander.

Is it hard to see the readout on the display in the light? Meaning, does it have any glare issues? It seems it may be hard to see if the light hits it right. But, I've never seen one in person so I don't know. Thanks.

I'm thinking about switching to the Commander because of the ability to monitor both injection and FP pressure. But I am concerned with sun clare with the pillar mount. I hoping that Quad will offer a nice molded plastic mount that goes above the review mirror. I have gauges there now and I like there because of no clare issues and nobody walking or driving by can see my gauges. QUAD please come out with above the rear view mirror mount like Edge did. Thanks.

Don't PM quad for prices, he will be the highest (Vendors don't undercut resellers) PM Larry from DTR and get a price from him.

No glare issues. I don't use the buttons much. I use a ****/switch to control the Xzillaraider so the Commander is just gauges for me. I like it. Less expensive than single gauges. Lots of opportunities for expansion and future enhancements. Quad's service is excellent if you ever have a problem.

I have one and love it. No glare issues and the buttons work great. I did have one of the first units and it had button problems. After waiting a few months for Quad and his team to get the button issue solved, I put in a call to Quads guys and they promptly sent me out a new unit no questions asked. That company has great customer service.

I am still new here and haven't gotten the hang of everyone's names. What is Larry's username. There are 3 Larry's in the memberlist but i don't think those are even right.

Thanx

I got mine for $308 at my door. I also installed the fuel monitor system and teh pillar mount. I like it a lot, it can alarm at any set point and defuel. Guages are great, but where are you going to stick 8 guages?
