Quad Commander tans temp sender

Quad Commander trans temp sender
Has anyone had a problem with their Quadzilla trans temp sender? Today under normal driving, my temp shot up to 280. I get to my destination and the truck sits for about 30 minutes, then the guage reads 119 which is normal. I drive about 3 miles and it suddenly shoots up to 250 and stays there until I stop again. I let it sit again and leave and it reads 230 all the way home. I check the fluid when I get home and it is warm to the touch but not hot and it smells fine. I let the truck sit for about 15 minutes and turn the Commander on and it reads 230 still. I wait longer and it still reads 230. So, I disconnect the sender and the Commander reads 100. Then I hook it back up and it reads 119. I think it is the sender but would like some other opinions. I might also add that the truck shifted fine and no other problems were seen other than a warning screen on the Commander. Thanks

I have had my commander for a while and have had no problems yet . My temp stays around 130 to 145 most of the time once it gets warmed up . I drive 38 miles one way to work . sometimes I take the thruway at 70 mph but most times I take rural roads . It sounds like your sensor is bad . You could try getting a pan of hot water and testing the sensor ...
