1.) If they fall apart internally, how can they legally be sold to a consumer and not ALL be recalled?

2.) How can you call them "discount filters" and a Purolator Pure One oil filter costs MORE than a Fleetguard Stratopore?

3.) Even though I don't USE them, they STILL say that they meet or excede the recommendations for and are approved for use?

Not aiming at squabbling here, just curious as to where you got your info?

Listen, I chose to share my personal experience with the Purolator oil filter, wether or not you choose to except that is up to you. The purpose of these forums are to share experiences. Now that being said I derived my info from this website, Dodge and Cummins. There was at the time many extensive discussions concerning oil filters and which ones were authorized. I chose not to use Purolator on my truck after my experiences. You may choose to save a dollar or two. I'll pay the few extra dollars and purchase the Mopar or Fleetgaurd filters.
