Power surge at about 2400 rpm?
My truck seems to get a huge power surge at around 2400 rpm. Its an 06 2500 6 speed. I don't think the clutch is slipping cause I'm still gaining speed when it happens. Got a bully dog programmer and I'm only running the economy level and a guy that I know that works at a dodge dealership beveled off a piece in my cp3 to increase rail pressure a little, so I'm not running a huge amount of power. Just wanna make sure this is normal or if it could be a clutch or dmf problem?

Bevelled off a piece of your cp3, I'm thinking your talking about the fca (fuel control actuator) on back of the cp3. I'm surprised any person at a dealership would do that, as it will create some liability imo. The reason i say this is back when the Arson Cp3 kits and Industrial Injections Bag-o-parts came out the consensus was that any person could take their fca and bore the hole to allow more metered fuel at a given time. Problem with this is if it isnt done right to a tee you can end up with problems like you state, surging, bogging, excessive smoke, or more.
Try returning the BullyDog to stock and see if you are still surging.

I am having the same sort of problem with mine, but it seems to happen around 1500 rpm's and around 1900 rpm's the surging goes away after i depress the throttle or release it a little. I was wondering if i might have a bad throttle position sensor?
