power steering fluid cap problems

maybe its just me, but has anyone else had issues with their power steering fluid cap coming off? when i first bought the truck i had one. after about a month it had dissapeared. tonight i noticed that i had lost my third one. so this will be four caps in ten months. anytime i check the fluid i make sure the cap is on securely. if anyone else has had this problem please speak up. after having to pay $10 bucks a piece and cleaning up the mess everytime im ready for a solution.

What I think is happening is your PS pump is over pressurizing the and blowing the cap off.
When I check my fluid level the cap forcebly removes itself in my hand due to excessive pressure build up. This leads to PS pump failure.
The dealership should have a new cap for it. Itr should should have a pressure releif hole in it.

Typical. They were suppose to have come out with a tsb on this matter, if they have or not is another question.
What my local dealership was going to do was drill a small hole in the top of the cap. I told them not to as then contaminents would enter the resevoir.

At least your pump hasnt failed due to this. I would send the invoices to Chrysler Corporate and ask for a refund of the money on the caps. Then I would tell them you want the problem fixed.
