Popping noise from under floor board

Ive noticed half a dozen times now a popping noise under drivers side floor board. It seems to resonate to the pedals. Feels like its on the drivers side. Doesnt do it on every bump its really not very frequent. Im guessing ujoints on that front axle drive shaft?

I did find out that a recall has not been done on the tie rod and ends for the driver side. Maybe thats it. Is it a pain to get a dealer to fix that? I figure they are gonna try to get their money back one way or another. Break something else while they are under there so Ill have to bring it back. I have no faith in stealerships.

I would get some jack stands, put the truck up on all four corners with the tires still on and start shaking stuff. Get a helper...

Had something similar on mine.....turned out the end links for the sway bar were shot and popping under certain conditions....could be felt through floorboard and pedals as you stated.

I got underneath it and shook some stuff around. I dont see anything loose. I think the mud flap might be banging the step bar in certain winds. If thats not it I guess Ill find out when something breaks.

Well its not the mud flap hitting the step bar. It started doing it much more frequently today. Seems to have a bit of a grinding sound along with it now. It was more prevelant when I pulled the truck side to side while going down the road. I thought it was under the driverside but my friend sitting in passenger seat said it sounded like it was on that side.

Anyone use Lukes Links on their 3rd gen? I had good luck with them on my 12v.

Oddly enough i had a problem with an unusual rattling and found out it was a broken rear shock. I'm not suggesting that that is what your problem is, but it's good to check the shocks out too.
