How annoyed do you get with the Placerville stop lights on a daily basis?I go the back way and avoid Placerville altogether...

I live by the lake and the back way is shorter.

So your wife is pretty hefty, eh? My woman is too. I'm thinking about getting some step rails for her so it'll be easier to shove her in .

you can use a programmer or go to the dealer to recalibrate the speedo, once this is correct divide the miles driven by the gallons used = mpg

Going to and from work, Ill get between 20.5 and 21 MPG, hand calced.

My overhead lie-o-meter usually is 1MPG below what I hand calc.

To get a good hand-calc, fill your tank up to the very top of the filler tube. drive around a while and then fill up again to the very top of the filler tube. Take the miles you have driven and divide it by the n umber of gallons you just put in the tank.

Just got back from a 2250 mile trip with the '05. About 90% highway running about 65 to 70 mph we averaged 20.5 mpg hand calculated. Basically empty except the back seat area loaded with "stuff" and the 105 gal. tank and truck topped off around exit ?77? on I84 in Virginia.
Best ever with this truck was about 23 mpg mostly on 50 mph back roads with light traffic and few stops.
Towing between 10k and 15k (depends on trailer and load) it gets around 14.5 to 16.

I get around 10.5mpg towing my 30' TT and around 13mpg normal driving. This is with a DRW 4X4 auto with 4.10 gears and 5k miles. All hand calculated, overhead reads about 2.5 to 3 mpg higher. I can't complain to much, it get's the same mpg as my '04.5 did with about 19k when I traded it in on the '06. Both trucks set up the same. And from what I have heard and read, it gets better mpg than a comparable gas pot truck either empty or loaded.

On fourth tank and so far very pleased. Mostly mixed driving all hand calculated has been 16.9 to 17.5 and overhead has been off so more than 1 mpg so far. I recently cleared overhead so will see if it keeps up. So far no towing but short trip to RV dealer next Thursday and 2 hour trip middle of following week. Should be under 300 miles round trip but curious to see how it does there. Still only 1600 miles on it so hopefully things will only get better.
