PATC Re Governor Installed. Still having trans issues! HELP!

03 dodge 3500 with 47re.

Problem started a week ago. 3 days after a trans filter and new fluid my tranny was not shifting out of 1st gear. I would take off in first, then it would have a delayed shift (about 7 seconds delayed).

Then it just stopped going into first all together. Taking off in third like limp mode. Even if I put it in 1st manually it would go to second.

So I assumed it was the governor solenoid. I went on PATC and bought there bad *** Re governor kit with the Borg warner solenoid.

Installed with another new filter and 7 qts of atf-4.

Now its really out of control! Sometimes it starts in 1st, sometimes in 3rd, sometimes in second. If I manually put it in first it works fine.

I will say that when it takes off in first it shifts very good. Sometimes in wonders back to 1st if I take off in second or third. Its all hit or miss.

Do you think it could be a faulty governor sensor? Just replaced it about 100 miles ago...

Thanks for the help in advance!

Just a guess, I think the flush you did has washed a bunch of crud into the VB and now its causing things to hang.

What exactly did this flush and drain consist of?

just a pan drop, and 6 qts of atf-4, new filter. 2 times now.

1st time there was some fluff on the magnet. Then after 300 miles and the truck shifting wacked, another flush, nothing on the magnet...

Hard to tell but it really sounds like you have something messing with the VB. You really should rop some gauges on the trans and check what all the pressures are doing.

Try changing the transducer. It should have been changed when you installed the new PATC gov solenoid originally.
