I ordered an OEM muffler and tail pipe from original mopar parts, the price was really good compared to what the local dealer wanted. My question is what is the pipe in front of the stock muffler called? It appears to still be in very good shape but i want to order one to have on hand in case it breaks. The clamps on my exhaust pipe are really rusted, and this has caused the pipe under it to rust and break. I lost the tail pipe a week ago that is why I order the muffler and tail pipe. the front two sections of pipe look good, but with my luck I'll get the new muffler and tail pipe on and this other section will break.

On another note I don't know how some of you guys run straight pipes, my truck is loud now that the pipe is broken in front of the muffler. I couldn't drive it loike this all the time. I guess I'm getting old. Thanks for the help.
