Just got my, and put it in last nite. Got it from Dog House diesel. Had it next dayed to me, which was only $20 more. Pretty nice unit. Much nicer than the junker that was in the truck. My one concern is that there is no Cir Clips in the universal joint at the rear end. Where the drive shaft meets the rear end. I noticed the OEM steel one didn't have them in the front on that one either. I have only changed a few u-joints in my life, and it always seems there is always a clip either on the inside or the outside. I don't see any in this location. Is this normal?
Seems like the truck is much smoother, I will say that. Even the girl friend could notice the difference. However, the one issue I have not been able to get rid of, is that dreaded racket I get at about 1500 RPMS in fifth gear. Seems like the drive shaft made it come in at a little lower RPM now, but its still there. All that's left to change is Junker Valair Clutch, and/or try a fluid damper. Totally puzzeled on that one. I guess maybe it could be the rear end? I put a good quality AMS oil in the G56, and that made no difference either. Love that truck, but that one hick-up is a major drag...

The rear driveshaft joints in most of the new rear shafts are actuallt glued in at the factory. To change the joints you need to melt this plastic like adhesive out with a torch and then use clips to hold the new ones in.

I just ordered my one piece from dog house, I hope you guys are right about fixing this, thats alot of money in my book, would rather have a smarty, some new shocks and rear diff cover, but guess it'll have to wait longer. Priorities first i guess.
Mine has 99k on it, it shutters on startup, and vibes on slow down. Feels/Sounds like I have mudder tires on.
What are you guys doing with the old driveshaft? Throwing it in the recycle bin for scrap?
I canceled my rockauto.com order for ujoints, I couldn't find the carrier bearing on the site anywhere.

Answered my ? above:
The MOPAR ujoint replacement for the one peice driveline is 5093376AB,
Per Rich at Doghouse diesel Thanks Rich! <--- super guy super service
"the joints on the 1-piece are equivalent to 1450's.
You can use Spicers or Preceision joints as replacements, BUT you have to machine .010's off the end caps for them to fit correctly."

Anyone run this on a truck with 8-10" lift? I've dealt with the shudder from the 2 piece since 2004 and am anxious to get rid of it...I currently need new u joints and carrier bearing after only 2 years.

These shafts seem a bit shorter than they really should be already although they work just fine with the stock suspension. I don't think it would be wise to put one on a truck with that much lift.
