I was just going to say what Roperteacher said. Get the JD oil. *** Tractor right down the road from Sullivan North should have it. They're primarily a New Holland dealer but they stock pretty much everything JD too.

I've not come up to my next change yet, but that was the first place I was going to try when it comes time. If I can't get it there I'm going to go to Wright Equipment, they're a big JD dealer around here too, locations in Abindon, Bluff City and Marion.

I have had that same oil running through a 7.3 in an Excursion for the past 2 years and it's great. When CJ oil first came on the market a few years ago I ran into the same problem of not being able to find CI+ oil, so then I just decided to switch it to Amsoil. I've noticed it gets a slight, slight bit better mpg, but the best benefit is cold starts. In the winter that stuff flows like water on a hot summer day. Also you can run it longer too. I have been running it with Amsoil EA oil filter and just change it once a year. Last year it ran about 12k on that oil and the UOA on that oil came back fine.

If I had known about the JD oil being CI+ at that time then I probably would have changed it to that. I plan to put the JD oil in the 92' as it doesn't get as many miles put on it in a year as the other vehicles so there's no reason to use it.
