Only if you have never seen a real oil psi gauge on a diesel... The reason they are now fake is because they got too many complaints about it moving too much.. Diesels fluctuate oil psi alot more and faster than gassers do.

 

The only ones I've seen or paid attention to are on old tractors. Not fast or moving much. Not a good comparison I guess.
