I have been doing some research trying to get some info on two specific synthetics here latley trying to decide which is better to run, as well as which is more convieniant to buy to try and decide which route I am going down. Lots of things out there that I have ran across have conflicting info. Some say it's ok, some say it's a dead no no. I am not going to chance anything. Not mixing them is an obviouse best choice. At the end of the day if you mix and have motor failure, you will be the one paying the bill, so I will favor with the nay sayers on this.

edit: oh and just so no one gets confused this is in refferance to mixing dino oil and full syth... not to mixing the two dinos hat the OP is asking about

No worries guys, I got the answer I was looking for. Any additional info is always welcome. I don't see any problem mixing the two but bansh-eman has a point, why risk it. I did a little looking around and it looks like most if not all manufacturers say it's okay to mix synthetic with dino oil but in the end it's what you're comfortable with. If you spend a little more or go to a little more trouble to get what you're comfortable with, it was worth it. You can't put a price on peace of mind.
