03 3500 dually. 102,000 miles. has banks intake with super scoop, cone out of turbo, turbo from 04.5, dual exhaust, and local diesel guy crimped the hose to my waste gate. So I had a bully dog on it, on high power it never smoked which bully dog said was normal. I sold that and got a Smarty JR per everyones recommendations, and no smoke at any tune setting. Every one I know with a smarty on some setting can pour a good cloud of smoke. So this lead me to searching. Not necessarily because I want a huge cloud of smoke, but I was curious why it wouldn't and if something was wrong. Along with this I have noticed in the last few months more frequently it has been getting to around 5 to 8 cranks before it starts. Even when there was no tuner on. Someone told me could be fuel pressure issue or injectors. I haven't had any other problems with it except for my mileage has been all over the place. Twice this month I took the exact same load down and back, 344 miles round trip, weather conditions the same, and my milleage went from 12.2 down to 9.8. This was with the same tuner on and everything. Are either of these things Any reason to worry?
