GONE. After living with a slight vibration for about 25000 miles I had a driveshaft shop replace all 3 rear joints with Precision 351A greasables. I dont know if putting the joints in fixed it or the balance fixed it.

If you read some of my earlier posts, Dodge fixed the center joint under warranty, then the vibration started. I think they may have put the driveshaft back in out of sync causing an imbalance.

All I know is my truck is smooth again.

How often should I be greasing these things? I'm thinking every Oil change at 5k intervals.

 

Sounds like the dealer reinstalled out of phase... 10-4 on the zerk service w/oil change.

 

i did all three yesterday after my center one completely seized. i too had vibes, but just attributed it to larger heavier tires and a big truck. smooth as silk now. 351A greaseables here too.

 

Properly greased U joints are the cure for the common shudder on the 3rd gens.

Lube every or every other oil change.
