There is a tool called a manometer that can measure the crankcase pressure at the vent tube. It may not hurt to find someone that has one.

If it's not bad and it runs good then I would ensure the fluids/filters are all good/new and drive it. Keep an eye on things and see what happens.
I agree with this. Change fluids and filters.

Also, you didn't say but I will assume the truck sat for a while? If so, it wouldn't hurt to just drive it for a few days and keep an eye on things. You may still have blowby from a neglected engine but getting things going again might help.

Thanks guy's I have been driving the mess out of it today. Short trips. I guess I have put 20 miles all together. It still smokes some after it gets heat in the exhaust , I am sure it's full of oil from the bad turbo but it ran great. The blowby don't look as bad as it did before but it still has some. I guess tomorrow I change the oil and find someone with a meter you guy's suggested. It didn't seem to use any oil or leak out the vent tube at all.

Blowby won't hurt the turbo.

Drive it for a while and watch the vent tube for excess oil venting. If there are issues it will show with an excessive amount of oil usage and pushing it out the breather tube.

Once you think everything is good then I suggest finding something heavy and giving it a good workout.. Seems to do wonders on certain ailments.

Just a quick update on the truck. I changed the oild ,filter and fuel filter today. I think I may have overfilled it a little with oil. It runs great and the smoke is fadeing the more I drive it. I did notice that the vent tube had dripped just a little after I parked it. Other than a small amount of oil on the driveway all is good. I powerwashed the underside of the truck today just to see how much may leak out.

Sounds like all the smoke was just leftover residue. 3 gallons of oil with filter change on our trucks. Truck has to be sitting flat for a while before oil is checked. The least tilt one way or another and the dipstick will read differently.
