New Turbo And......
I had my turbo replaced under warranty 2 weeks ago by the dealer. My symptoms were some oily residue on the Rubber tube coming out of the turbo headed to the CAC. Not a lot but a little greasy. I also had some seepage out the back of the turbo. ( Exhaust side). The new turbo they installed looks much beefier, is silver rather than goldish color. THe Exhaust side looks a bit different as well.
After I tow 5-6 hours I notice the rubber connecting tube is still a little moist with oil ( I think it's oil anyway). But the back remains DRY from any and all residue...
I am guessing this residue on the rubber tube must be normal? Is condensation of some sort possible? thanks!

It is possible that the dealership didn't clean off the boot. I would clean it off good yourself & see if it comes back. If you feel ambitious, you could take a look at the cold side of the turbo to see if you see any oil inside there. Also check to see if either of the oil tube connects are not tight while you're looking at the cold side of the turbo.
