NEW hear, Help deciding on a truck
Hi im new hear and im looking at getting a 2003 ram 2500 laramie with 97k miles and they want $22-24k for it. The truck looks in good shape and its lifted with rims and tires and it has some other things, well i was wondering if its a good deal to get it with the miles and for that price. Any info will help out Thanks.

Welcome to the DTR I just bought my wife an 03 1ton 2WD Auto its got everything but leather SRT 10 hood, bed liner and only 76,000 miles I gave $20,900 for it. I dont think what someone is asking is as important as what its worth to you. Just my thoughts hope this helps.

22k or lower seems good to me. Check it over really good then if you like it, buy it. is it a dealer or private seller?

Did he trade on a newer one? I would guess that. It's a 4x4 also being lifted. Automatic or manual? If it's an auto and it's got performance mods, check the trany or figure in the price of a rebuilt or new tran. Does the oil smell like diesel?-high pressure fuel perfomance mods-bad injector or premature failure. Front end is it loose?-tire wear on inside or outside, maybe on the back if they rotated them. If it's had performace mods did the engine get cooked?-high exhaust gas temps. BIGGEST TIP TAKE SOMEONE ALONG THAT REALLY KNOWS THESE TRUCKS.
