Ok so I bought a 2006 SLT Cummins. Only thing is it has a 6.7 not a 5.9. How can I find out what year my 6.7 engine is so I can start doing some mods. My second question is what mods to do first? I have done a 6 inch rough country lift and 35 inch MT tires. I Really want to make her loud! Any suggestions are appreciated.

 

There should be a tag (sticker) on the valve cover somewhere. That will have your engine # and what month and date. If you want loud, look into doing a delete for your exhaust. With your engine, you can get laptop programming and turn off the regen stuff. Good luck!

Interesting question... How do you know it's a 6.7L engine?
How would anyone know what engine it is without pulling the head?

I wonder which head is on the engine?
If it really is a 6.7 engine, the pistons have much different bowls than the 2004.5-2007 5.9L engines.

Then I would wonder what injectors are installed?
Is it custom tuned to run this combo?

you are correct. the only way his 2006 has a 6.7 is if someone put it in.
