Need help truck laid down
Ok guys i need help i've been a long time looker but not posted. when i was leaving work today my truck started running really rough with no power, scared i wouldn't make it home or was going to do serious damage to teh truck i turned around and went back to work (only a mile out). i cycled the key and got four codes. 2146 0201 0202 0203 i checked the connections rinstalled stock program (Bullydog on sport setting 80 hp i think). unhooked the batteries, took valve cover off and check for signs of chaffing on the valve cover gasket wires (found none). put truck back together and still running bad. Not sure what to do next, i took oil cap off and checked for blow by and it all looked good. Thinking about ordering a new valve cover gasket? What do you guys think? truck has 145000 miles on it.

While waiting for the valve cover gasket with wiring harness i ohmed injectors and all ohmed .4-.6 except #2 that one ohmed 5.3. I put truck back together to wait for injectors hit the key and now it runs great. WTH? I guess i can still replace the injector what do you think?

well truck didnt run right for long. Finally got home pulled back apart and #2 injector is reading 16.3 ohms. Not sure to replace one or all six? If solenoid goes bad on a injector is that preventable? Ive seen some on ebay but not sure about them

I hope you got this taken care of. To kill this thread; I've had the same problem with same codes. OHMed the three injectors in bank one. The number three injector was not reading anything. Replaced that one and everything is good. I guess on top of all the other ways these crappy injectors go out, the coil or solenoid on top can short out, taking the other two in the same bank out. And to rant; Bosch has some nerve charging what they are for these injectors considering how often they fail. Most people get what, maybe 80K miles out of one. I know they fire rapidly, but that's what they are designed for. They need to figure out how to develop a better product. If our radios went out every 80K Infinity would lose every contract with Chrysler.

I'm by no means bragging.....but my factories sticks are now at 300K and are still flawless *knocking on wood as I type this*
Some just tend to last longer than others. Just did injectors on my buddies '07. Three cracked bodies and 2 cracked tips at 118K so don't feel bad my friend.....it happens to all of us

Alright, some people get lucky, and of coarse maintanace will help prolong the life, also work load. My good buddy has done injectors once and he just turned 700K in his '05. He only runs loaded and is religious about fuel maintanace.
My '06 has had 14 injectors that I know of in the past three or so years. But then again my truck had probably lived a hard life before I bought it and I know it needs to be rebuilt.
Good luck to you all.

Well my injector finally arrived about a week after my last post, install went good and so far i have drove about 10,000 miles without issue. I think my injectors do rattle more then they did ayear ago though. i installed a 2 micron filter setup between my factory filter and injection pump about 20,000 miles ago. Truck currently has around 155,000. My injector didnt really go out though it was the solenoid. Not sure can be done top prevent that.
