Need Help: Transmission Slipping/Loss Power 1st Gear

I need some help diagnosing a problem, money is tight right now and I was hoping I could fix it myself if it's something easy. (I'm no mechanic by any means )

Went to take off from a stop sign and noticed I had lost a lot of power on take off, doesn't seem to matter how much gas you give it, to the point that I'm pretty sure I couldn't even spin the tires in sugar sand if I tried. It's almost like starting off in second gear, I put it in first to make sure it was in fact going into first and it was. Once you get going in second it runs and shifts like it should all the way up to 4th and overdrive. No shuddering or shifting problems.

Also getting a P0700 code when I cycle the key witch looks like a general transmission code.

Any ideas?

Limp home mode. Trans pressure too high or too low is my guess.
Does it reset if you shut it down and restart it?
Don't drive it, you may fry the trans.

Does not reset. Seems to be only 1st gear where I lack power, shifting is normal and power is normal in 2nd-4th and reverse.

unfortunately...it sounds like a fried planetary...
I have exhibited this 3 times with my current ride..

if you dont drive it, you will minimize damage, and make the clutch packs easy to remove. The last time I had the same problem, The planetary fused on the second set of packs and i could not even remove them from the case...was terminal and i wasnt able to rebuild. Gave me the excuse to call Dusty Hawkk at HTS and order a crated full billet 47RE...

I feel your pain, and have been there before...
come on over withh a 12 pack, well drop the trans and see what we have going on in there pal...

Thanks for the info everyone, I appreciate it.

The good news, it ended up just being the solenoid and sensor. The band news is I'm just about out of band adjustment.
