I have high hopes for the Lorenze dual purpose leafs. Like the limited slip diff, the stock leafs should perform much better. I will post after I get them installed. Installing the front snubber only , will help. Plus the spring packs by design. are less likely to wrap up.

I think I'm going to try some of those too. The price is right. Did you have to drill into that bracket?

They are Tuff Country bars. I got mine yesterday and I plan on installing them this weekend. Of course the snow is gone now so I won't know if they work or not until it snows again. One question I have is that the directions call for drilling a 7/8" hole in the spring mount to attach the bar to it. That seems like an awfully large hole and the picture they show doesn't appear to be that large. heck, I bit that big would cost a fortune. So if you have installed these, what size bit did you actually use???

I went with with a 3/4 since it looks like the larger hole will help the bushings do what they are supposed to and keep the threads away from the edges of the hole. They bolt on easily other than getting that big hole drilled. I drilled a 3/8 then a 1/2 then a 3/4. I have got it to hop a couple times but I was in deep wet snow. I am going to try to push or pull on the top of the mount and see what it does, but for now I am happy with them for the money.

I have decided to go with the GDP Ladder Bars. They are pricey at almost $800.00 BUT they get rave reviews, are bolt-on (NO DRILLING), they fit perfect and 99.9% of the guys say there is NO wheel-hop at all.

CG98x, did you try using one of the other mounting holes on the bracket that bolts to the spring perch? It seems that using the rearmost hole would help the most. I may try that one...

Well, I got one installed and then realized that it runs right between the overload spring and bumper. If I load the truck down I will bend the traction bar. The directions say they fit 2500 and 3500. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do!!
As far as drilling the hole, all I can say is UNIBIT!!!! Dang that thing works great!! A 7/8" regular bit was $40.00 and the UNIBIT was $34.00 and will have many uses in the future.....

Just kidding... I've never had much wheelhop on either truck, but they stay loaded down pretty good, and of course we tweaked the suspensions.
There's "no free lunch" in physics, so the Hotchkiss rear suspension that gives our Rams such heavy load-carrying ability and relatively good ride quality translates into a tendency to induce wheelhop during certain driving/traction situations.
I kept the nice ride, handling and load capacity while eliminating wheelhop with these:

OK, I got the wheel hop something fierce this weekend off-roading in the snow. I have to do something about this before I make another trip in the snow. What is the story on the Tuff Country bars? If you load the truck will they be an issue with the overload bumpstop?
