Napa smf Clutch question

Napa smf Clutch question
My throw out bearing is starting to rattle. I'm leaning towards the napa smf comversion. From info I found here, the part I need is Part #: NNC MU521791SK. Do I need a hydraulic kit too? Does that part include the throwing bearing? A quick search found the kit for 430 at advanced auto parts. Anyone know best plac to buy?

Yep, that is the same part number I used. The clutch and flywheel come already assembled ready to go in. It does include the throwout bearing, alignment tool, and engine barring tool as well.
I didn't replace my hydraulics when I put mine in, but have been having problems, so I'm going to upgrade to the Southbend hydraulic setup.
$430 sounds like a great price. I paid $622 total for mine last October from NAPA.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Is it worth th couple hundred to go ahead and throw the hydraulics in? I have 130k on the truck now. Or better to wait fir it to show signs of failure? I'm going to be lazy and am paying a guy $400 to put in the clutch. It's worth that to ne rather than rolling around on the ground to try and wrestle that heavy sucker out of there.

I haven't bought the hydraulics yet. I'm pretty sure that's my problem though.
I'd say just get it put in and run it for a while. These have an external slave cylinder, so if you do need hydraulics, they're an easy install after the fact.

got the clutch in today. the throw out bearing was pretty grabby so that was definitely the culprit. i got the clutch from advanced auto parts online, and found a coupon too so i got it for $315 to my door. i called the manufacturer to make sure there was no diff between that and the 600 one from napa with the same part number. i paid a shop $450 t put it in. it was worth that to save the hassle for me. initial reports it feels ok. definetly a different pedal feel but not bad. tomorrow i'll turn my junior up and see if it holds. the stocker wouldnt hold even on level 2.

It should hold fine. I generally run my Adrenaline on level 2, which is 35HP, but I've made several runs on level 10, which is supposed to be 160HP and haven't had a problem with it slipping at all.
I definitely got a raw deal. You paid $100 more to get yours installed than I did installing mine myself...

I've been perfectly happy with the jr on 1...... But level 2 may be fun

I wouldn't feel old. If I could have had someone else put mine in for that, I probably would have let em have at it. I did mine with no lift or help. It was a pain in the neck, but I didn't have any other option.

It holds on 2. I'll check on 3.
I don't have a good noise test yet bc they didn't reseat my Jerry rigged cv boot seal on the shifter good. I need to pull the console and see if they tossed it or just didn't get it on just right.
2nd gear take off is fine. A LITTLE grab- by at times but not bad at all.

Man, I've pulled em on the ground like that and it's no fun. They've all been half ton ones though, so I can imagine how bad these would be

The sound to me really isn't much different than stock. I can hear it a little bit, but not bad at all.
Definitely worth checking the boot. I obviously didn't get the clamps tight enough on mine. Pulled the cover off this weekend because I had oil leaking from on top. Whole boot was covered in oil, so I pulled the regular cv boot clamps off and put stainless hose clamps on. Hopefully it's sealed now.
