NAPA filters

Got a new NAPA store about 5 minutes away. So wondering how they rate with the other filters? [fuel & oil]

Wix apparently does not have water seperation for the fuel filters. Plus the lowest micron offered is 7.. I've been running their oil filters for years with no problem..

Wix oil filters are ok. But when it comes to fuel stick with either the Fleetguard or Baldwin.

Wix is a water separator, but its best filter for fuel is 7 microns nominal. OE requires 7 microns absolute.

Yep... Baldwin PF7977 is the best OE drop in.

I got a great deal on some NAPA fuel filters and had nothing but problems. Truck would buck every now and then and when towing it was very bad. The filters just don't flow very well. (better filtering). This happened with 3 Napa fuel filters. A buddy of mine is a big truck diesel mech. and said those cummins engines are very picking of fuel flow. Ordered a OEM cummins filter problem solved right away. I have 8000 miles on the cummins filter, where I got the bucking issue with the NAPA within 10 miles.

I have run Napa-Wix air/oil/fuel filters for years with no problems. I have 87,500 miles on my truck. I order in bulk from fleetfilter.com.

air filter- 2846
fuel filter- 3585XE(7 microns), the older 3585 is 10 microns
oil filter- 7620XE(high efficiency version of 7620)

Can you tell if this fuel filter is Napa-Wix or Fleetguard?

This oil filter?

Why? The Wix is 14 microns nominal, the Amsoil is 15 microns absolute.
