My warranty is gone
#16
My first repair attempt was within a month of purchase and had 1016 miles. I tried another dealer I am flagged on all power train. Plus before this I had taken it to another dealer and they found problems but Chrysler told them they couldnt get involved that I had to take it back to the orginal dealer. My truck had been on it last legs all spring and it finally let go and the entire time they were telling me nothing was wrong.

If I were you I'd print out as much DC information as I could regarding the towing capacity. As far as the he-said-she-said stuff and what you have towed - it would be up to them to prove you exceeded the truck's limit and damaged your tranny.
If you have service information, invoices from your warranty visits, your lawyer NEEDS copies, do not give them the originals, keep them just in case. The 'other' dealer would have also done paperwork, they have to when they take your truck into thier shop. That is a bunch of BS regarding only the original dealership being able to take care of your problems - ALL of their network gives us ALL warranty service, that IS stated in your manual.
Either there is MORE to this story OR you DO have a good legal case. You just need to make sure your attorney builds your case with good information. DC has a lot of materials in print and available on the internet regarding all of this, take the time to put things together correctly. Use ALL the available means you can to get public attention - your TV station can do a story about your problems, goes to cunsumer affairs. I would quit with the dealership and go up the line to DC directly. I would have them state their case in writing. Something you could then dispute.
Where is your truck now? Do you have it or is it at a dealership? You also have the legal right to put your payments into escrow. Many times whoever is financing it for you does not pay it up front to DC, they pay DC in the same manner you pay them. You may be able to get support from your lender OR act in concert with your lender regarding an escrow account until your dispute is settled. You DO have many places to get support in dealing with this. Your attorney should be able to advise you about this stuff as well.

I have all my wieghts and documents and guess what I am under thier so called weight limits. I am starting public route tomorrow. My truck is at my neighbors auto business. I had to go get it they were going to start chargiing me storage fees. I had him haul it from there. My loan is through Chrysler so I dont know what I can do there.

Good luck man! Although I have not had any serious issues like yourself, I to have had horrible luck with DC dealerships everywhere. This is my first Dodge and I must say there service sucks so far. Its a shame to read posts like this because this is the reason alot of people end up switching over to other companys. Again good luck and I hope things work out for you and hope to see you driving a new truck before to long.

As far as warranty and another dealer not wanting to get involved if you check your warranty book if a dealer has performed a warranty procedure and you have a problem within 30 days that dealer is responsable for correcting his mistake. I dealt with this last year with a Michigan/Florida dealer and had to get district manager to get Michigan dealer to Pay Florida dealer to get work done. Sounds like you just picked a poor quality dealer who has choosen to make your life miserable. As far as the weight you have/are been towing it is up to Dodge to prove what you have been doing, If you had problems within the first 1000 miles and they haven't been corrected yet then it is a DC problem. I see many trucks pulling heavily overloaded fifth wheels and you do not see them roadsided with tranny problems on a regular basis. Get your lawyer involved and plan on waiting for quite a while for resolution. And keep trying to get ahold of a district manager and find out specifically why "They voided your warranty". then challange it.

This is unreal, when I worked for a GM/Dodge dealer, if I guy came in with a tranny problem, and it was within the warranty period, we'd just repair it no matter. We had a dude that could take a tranny down tear it replace what it needed, and have you going before 3pm that day no questions asked. I've seen him take a frontwheel drive transmission out and apart twice in one day trying to get it right. You guys need to take your trucks to slow dealers that love even warranty dollars.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, hope everything gets resolved for ya. Lemon law applies if you have the same complaint three consecutive times, or if the truck is down for 30 consecutive days (this includes weekends too).
