is my lift pump about to take a dump?

do lift pumps just go out or do they start getting loud and make your truck cut out a little on hard acceleration? i need to get a pressure gauge but dont have one yet so i dont know where it stands PSI wise. it started cutting out when i would have the predator on extreme rkl, but the it started doing to on just extreme, now it almost feels like its trying to do it stock. its fine once i get in 4th 5th and 6th but just off the line in low gears it does it mainly 3rd. any thoughts? i need a guage... what is better mechanical w/isolator, mechanical, or electric?

Sounds like you are draining your rail... There is a tight rail pressure guage in the DTR store...

even with the truck set back to stock? do you think the DIY CP3 mod would help out any? it is fine when the rpm's are up.

Hmmm, I see what you are saying about it doing it stock now... How is your fuel level when this happens. Does it matter how much fuel is in the tank? Could be a pick up problem... could be the LP too. Walbro has a goot aftermarket pusher pump, IMO...

Need to get those supporting mods, they are important...

Whatever you do I would not try to push the truck too hard until you get the FP gauge in....if it is low FP then you are basically running your CP3 dry when you get the powerloss, not good....many CP3's have been lost to a bad liftpump so be careful!!!!

well its the lift pump that cant keep up. 10 psi at idle and down to 0 if i hammer on it. its doing the cutting out thing at 0 psi so i guess its time for a upgraded lift pump! i have the truck back to stock till i get an upgrade. by the way i ordered the quadzilla rp and fp gauge off this site on monday night and it came in today. just got it on, easy install!
