I have a 2006 just cut the muufler off and left the cat on, its way to load in the cab. I was curious about the Hushpower muffler. Does anyone have a sound clip of one on a Dodge? My local nuffler man sells the Magnaflow muffler, should i go this way?

 

I like the magnaflow, but have heard the hushpower is good also. Check youtube and flowmaster's website for a vid. Pretty sure one or both will have some launch and drive by clips.

 

I just put a 51" Nelson (Fleetguard) muffler on and really like how it sounds.... No more drone in the cab also..... Was $72 at the local Fleetguard shop...

I started with what you did... Didn't mind it around town, but towing or above 70mph was annoying...

SO I ditched the cat and put a 40" Donaldson in its place. Really like the sound, volume was good when towing, cruise, etc... The only thing I didn't like was the 40" did nothing for the high pitch freq of the exhaust brake.. It hurt my ears to stand behind the truck with the EB on...

So I added a MC resonator to the exhaust.. Wow.. .The general volume is the same, no drone when towing, no loud EB high pitch squeal... I really like it.
