MPG effect of Intake Air Temp sensor?
I have been getting absolutely awful mileage lately, particularly while towing, and was trying to figure out why. Then I noticed last night when servicing my BHAF setup that somehow the IAT sensor was smashed up pretty good, possibly ruined. If it is, would it have tripped a CEL, or anything of that nature?
I had a spare by chance, and put it in, but it is too early to tell if there is any difference in MPGs, as it only got driven 30 miles today.
Thanks!

Do the key cycle thing to see if you have any codes. I had the P0514 battery temp sensor rational something or other. The dealer did a flash, covered under the emissions warranty, and my mileage jumped 2 mpg.

I might do that if it weren't 5 degrees outside right now. Gotta drive it in the AM, will check it then I suppose. Mine has had the mileage reflash already BTW.

I did not get any codes to come up on the regular key cycle, and when holding the trip button, got OD 15. ?
Anyone else care to weigh in on what effect a busted AIT sensor may have on fueling and milage?
