Mopar fuel filter filtration levels

I just read this over on the TDR talking about fuel filter filtration levels.
The Fleetguard FS19579 is a 10 micron filter, Mopar 04883963AA is a 7 micron filter and the 04883963AB is a 2 micron filter. Anyone heard of this? Is it true?
If so why isn't there a 2 micron filter for our 3rd gen fuel filter housing?

Good question, just need the real facts now to answer the question. I think the 10 micron term is industry generic for a given flow rate. I suspect the FS19579 is a little better than that, but who knows.
