My FP reading went down to about 14 psi and I have a FASS....but it too fluctuated somewhat.

Pretty much the same thing happen to me and the fix was the same. Gone about 30k after the event and the motor runs and sounds great @ 70k miles now.

I had reached the half way point in my drive home when I stoped to get a drink and noticed how much fuel had been used to reach this point and the bottom of the truck to the top of the tailgate were covered in that missing fuel. The only items replaced by the dealer were the #3 injector, oil filter and the missing 12quarts of oil. I have logged some 2500 miles since this happened and truck seems to run fine but the motor to me just doesn't sound right I hear sounds I don't remember hear before. I would all so like to know if your truck was repaired like mine or did your dealer go futher to make sure the motor itself was not damaged by checking bearings, using a borescope to check the cylinders. etc

many times lots trouble

I have had this same problem with my 04.5 3 times now. As a matter of fact I am driving my 93 with 200K+ because my new one is back in the shop because it keeps filling the crank case with fuel. As far a miles driven I would say I have pushed it about 150 noticing that it was getting 8 miles to the gallon. My dealer has a replaced a fule pressure regulator and # 1,2 3 injectors, the first time I tried to take it home from the dealer it ruined an injector about a mile from the shop.through all of this it does not run as well as it did when I bought it. The engine also has a hard time making power now adays. I think I am fixing to get a lawyer but who do you sue and How long will it take and is it really worth it. My truck only has 36,000 miles on it. My 93 has 200k+ and has only had ainjection pump in that time. I think I might just trade it in for older one or another brand, I hate to say that because this i my 5 dodge cummins I have literally owned ever generation with the cummins engine and loved all of them. But i hate this 2004.5.
