Mileage per Tank?

generally 600, right under 20 mpg. Close enough to 20 to call it 20. And thats with 315's, and a truck that weighs over 7K lbs... cant beat it.
5 speed, and i dont hot rod it. its a truck. if i want a hot rod, i jump in the wifes charger.
dont the 5 & 6 speeds have the same final gear? OD?

The best I've ever gotten was 835 on one tank. I do have Dave Kelley's tank vent kit which allows you to COMPLETELY fill your tank. Put 37 gallons into my "supposed" 34 gallon tank. That's 22.5 mpg. I regularly get 22 to 23 per the overhead. Whenever I hand calculate my mpg, I get about 1 mpg better than the overhead is showing. MOst claim the overhead shows higher. Mine shows lower.
I have a 50/50 mix on highway / city. Most of the roads down here are 45 and that hurts my trans temps and MPG. I need to stick a lockup switch in.
I'll be heading up to NH at the end of the month, so I'll see what I get at 70-75 all highway mileage.
My truck is doing better after getting the PCM updated and speedometer calibrated. Im at 310 miles just a hair below the 3/8 mark. That used to be below the quarter mark.

Yes, that was on a trip from my (then) home in the Florida Keys to Sturgis. The 835 leg was from Columbia, Mo to Rapid City. I got off I90 at exit 61 and filled up at the Flyin' J. That's when I put in the 37+ gallons. I was not towing, but had my '99 Harley dresser in the bed of the truck. Also, I had a 5 gallon can of diesel with me in case I ran out. Yeah, I know it's bad on lift pumps, etc to run 'em out, or even that low. Must not have hurt it. That was the summer of '04 & it's still going strong.

i easily get 22-24MPG on highway and 19ish in town. I just made a trip from Tennessee to Washington state and got 14.2MPG towing a 10k enclosed trailer. other then my mods, i have stock 265 tires and 3.73 gears.

Without doing any racing. Allways over 800mi. to a tank. Once, even got 887mi. Average about 22-23mpg+. Here was my thread on the 1st time attempting to max my fuel mileage and the testing data: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...=800+mile+club

I get 18-19 around town for a commute and a little over 21 mpg on a recent trip to New Mexico (70-80mph). Only 3700 miles on the clock so it'll get better! 06, quad cab, auto, 2wd.
My little V6 Sonoma gets the same mileage with half the weight and 1/3 the torque, got to love the Cummins

Every time I fill up, the overhead shows in the neighborhood of 650 miles DTE.
The last tank showed I got 22.6 and hand calc was more in the neighborhood of 18-19.
This is a combo of city and hiway @ 70
Only change is a Amsoil dropin and MBRP.
It may not be the best but Im happy with it being the truck is as heavy as it is.

I just checked mine today and I got 14.75 MPG and 400 MPT hand calculated. I run between 75-80 mostly open road here in Texas. Its very flat but the winds are very bad. I am taking mine in for a reflash tomorrow. I will let you know if it helps.
