Mileage per Tank?

What kind of mileage are you guys getting per tank?

Im getting 407 - 458 per tank on an 04.5 with a leveling kit... with an average MPG of 14.77, averages after 6 fillups, and a 1.087 correction factor due to 315's.

This is a bit low from what I read on the forums... from what I understand the dealer has some flashes they can do, correct?

I am getting around 17.5 to 19 mpg. 2 inch lift and 315's. Make sure that you change your fuel filter every time you change your oil. That should help.

Geez, that's pathetic mileage! What gears are you running? I normally get 600+ miles to a tank & average 19.5 to 20 driving back & forth to work at 70 mph.

This morning, my tank is sitting at a little over 1/4. I have 542 miles on the odometer. I can get 650+ easy-- 700 driving like granny.

Last week I got well over 400 miles to a tank hauling my slide-in camper at 65-70 MPH. The leveling kit and big tires will really hurt your mileage. Dealer flashes won't do much except make the overhead read higher mileage. If you are serious about good MPG ditch the leveling kit and tires.

I get between 500 - 600 stock with automatic. I have not actually hit 600 yet because I haven't done enough highway driving on one tank with no load. I got almost 500 (460-480 range) pulling a 16 foot enclosed trailer from Ohio to Eastern PA last weekend.

486 miles before filling, equates by hand to 15.005 mpg on the tank with 2007 5.9L ctd with 4k miles on it.

Yes... if tires are oversized you are going further... (( tire height x profile x 2 ) / 25.4) + rim size (for inches) for your tire... or you can measure the height and get an actual number.

Stock 265 tire should be ~31.606299 inches tall.

My 315 is ~34.362205 inches tall.

I have a ratio of 1.087:1 for mileage / mpg.

Whatever the speedo reads, i multiply it by 1.087 and that is the actual.

So for your 305's, you have a ratio of 1.069:1
