That's a great idea! I'd love to know the hours and the miles. I can't stop thinking about not shutting it off.

Idling 24 hours a day 7 days a week is hard on the engine doesnt matter if he tows with it or not. They don't stay up at opertaing temp around 200 dgrees when they idle like that. Cold idling makes an engine consume oil, dilutes the oil with fuel, and ruins injectors. To each his own. Hey I run my big truck like that pretty much only shut it down to check fluids when I fuel up but it's not good for the engine it's hard on them. It rags and wears them out makes them smoke like crazy. He'll be rolling clouds of oil smoke by the time he gets to a million and replace injectors etc stuff that wouldnt happen if he'd turn the truck off like a normal person.

And like most equipment, and work pickups, you do oil/service changes on a hourly basis versus mileage...I would guess he does the same with his rigs too.

Crazy oil tycoons, nice truck though. Also if its a 6.7, I wonder how it does with the regen stuff since its running constantly.

Obviously it is not idling 24x7 because he gotta drive it sometime! Oh and I misinformed yall it is always in high idle mode while sitting at the house.
