Treker and anyone else wanting to talk politics...

Please find an appropriate place to do so. Doing it here will only get this thread locked/deleted. A guy running his truck 24/7 has nothing to do with politics!

I can't believe this guy doesn't have injector issues. Not sure how long it stays cold in that area, but if you leave one idling in 30* weather the engine coolant temps will fall back down eventually. Idling at operating temp is one thing, but idling with cold temps is supposed to cause cylinder washdown and stuff.

Amen brother, one day enough people will wake up and see that the emperor has no cloths. Funny how the environmentalist criticize the US but give a pass to China, the middle east countries and other dirt bag countries. We have tons of oil here, if people want to end foreign dependence on oil. We need to use what our great country already has.

Interesting that you brought up Treker's name first on politics when Black Silver and Icrider first brought up politics. In other words, you don't like what Treker says so you want HIM to shut up. What a hypocrite.

Maybe you have troubles reading, but it specifically said "Treker and anyone else wanting to talk politics..."

Actually, I want all of you talking politics to SHUT UP...not just him. Like I said before, it has NOTHING to do with the topic so keep it to yourself or go post on another site designated for politics. You guys are only going to get this thread closed down, not change the world. DO YOU GET IT???

I told him about injector issues, his last truck a 6.0 PS he let idle just the same and had no problems with it. put around 100k on it in less than a year.

He only shuts it off for service so he either don't check the oil in between servicing or dumps a quart in every week or so? An engine like that has to use oil. The fuel getting in his oil... I feel sorry for whoever unwittingly buys this one when he gets tired of it and wants to rag and destroy another perfectly good engine. I guess it just goes to show if you're gonna buy one of these rigs used maybe it's not such a bad idea to take it to a dealer hook their computer up and find out how much excessive idling has been going on.

Same thing we say about the Alyeska and the oil company rigs up here...,.Nobody buys them, I think they ship them out and sell them in lower 48.....You can get the engine hours by pushing and holding in the hr/trip meter button

I believe they have at least 100 diesel powered trucks ranging from Ram 3500s, Ford F-350s and 18 wheelers. I'm sure he takes all the proper precations for what he is doing. But I dunno who cares. Its not yours or my truck.

I dont think he is ragging or detroying the engine either. He tows goosenecks very often and leave the truck idleing while he is out at a oil well to keep the cab cool or warm. So he works the truck pretty good. Which is what the Cummins likes. He just doesnt shut it off when he is at home. He probally thinks keeping it running is better for it. I know if you have a computer that has run for several years without being turned off, when you turn it off there is a very good chance of a component failing, because it got used to running all the time.

Like D-Roc said he will probably still get a million miles out of it..... With all the money he has put in to it im sure he takes care of it, he just believes the Cummins is tough enough to never have to be shutdown.
