max H.O. redline?

I thought they were governed at 3200.
I have the auto and accidently hit the "overdrive off" button at speed on the freeway. It went to 3200 briefly. I do not know if it stopped at 3200 because it was governed to do so or if that was where it was in the curve.
The manual shows 3200 as the redline. The guage shows red at 3200. I read a post on this site that stated the engine will begin to fail at 4200 rpm's.
No answers, but I thought I would share...

I don't remember where I read this, but I seem to remember that the CTD flies apart at 4200. the governed speed of 3400 represents plenty of margin.
