is the 2004 model the same?

or is the 2006 model different.

I think mine redlines at 3500 or so....

What is the scoop with the 2004 engine 305 horse? What is maximum for continuous rpm?

In that stuff Cummins sent me, 3300 RPM should be the governed speed, and although it wouldn't hurt the engine to run it that fast, to me it would be kind of pointless.

Since the torque curve drops off at 2700 RPM, running it higher than that would increase engine wear and fuel consumption while producing less torque.

Ditto here to. 1800 to 1900 is the sweet spot for mine. Running down the interstate that is.
