Massive Arc-ing

Hi.
So when my AC compressor turns on, or Defroster is selected (cycling the AC compressor) a large arc is heard coming from near the front of the motor. Now, when it first comes on, i have been told sparks are thrown from the front underside of the motor. Brought it to the dealer, they sent me away, because it "never happened to them". Brought it to another dealer, same reply, another dealer in a different state, same reply. Every time i turn the friggin AC on, it happens. In the dealers lot, turn it on, hear the noise, the mechanic says they dont know what i am talking about.
What can i look for, because now the warranty is up i think, 05 = 49K, and i cant get an answer from a dealer...
Thanks everyone...

Go there and show them what you are talking about. Sounds like the a/c clutch is about done.

I am not sure what you are trying to say but since day one my AC clunks when it engages for the first time of the day. If it is just that then it is normal and there are at least a few threads on here with people talking about it. If you are seeing sparks or seeing a flash then that would be something to action. Try going to the dealer without turning on the AC then when you talk to the service writer ask that the tech come out open the hood then turn on the AC to see/hear what happens.

If you have seen this your self, try taking a quick video of it and show them that way. Just another idea.

I agree with NickBeek. I think your a/c clutch is on it's last legs.

Mine has made the clunk and that arcing noise for 94,000 miles and blows as cold as ever. I don't think it is an actual electrical arc. I would verify that you have sparks being thrown.

Mine makes the same noise.I always assumed it was the clutch engaging.A/C works fine so I'm gona say this is normal. My 01 does the same just not quite as loud and its still running strong with 180k miles on it
