major problem
Ok its an 2005 with 4000 miles. I have an xzt and filter and thats it. All the time I have a HUGE amount of white smoke. Leaking oil out of the turbo and getting a code of P0301. It miss fires and runs extremely bad. Dealer changed the turbo, but problem is still there. They are lost. I took the xzt off from the scare of warrenty. Anyone know whats up? My brother has the same set up? Should he take off his xzt? 911 help fellas

i have had the zxt box for three months now. no issues. i know a few guys in the beginning had codes coming up. it was suggested that using dielectric grease on the connections would solve the problem.. (which i did before install) if that didn't work, the box had to be sent back to be reflashed. your zxt box is probably a newer version, so that should not be an issue. something is wrong with your truck-sounds maybe like an injector. one of the guys on here will chime in and let you what the code means.

i was just gonna say that...#1 cyl. misfire. you said WHITE smoke tho? i may be wrong, but usually white smoke is water vapor. check into your injectors. id say tho that if the dealer replaced the turbo and "doesnt know whats up" they are retarded. its their job to know. does it leak oil after the new turbo was put on? what led up to this happening?

I was just normal driving and it started shaking and missing. The oil is leaking before and after the new install of a turbo. The dealer said it was major and they have to take apart the whole motor and see whats the problem. Maybe if a new motor.

no mention so far about the fuel. The good is no matter what its under warrenty because they don't know about the xzt, but the bad is I don't know if the xzt was the problem starter and I had a few friends and family get it for there ram

An overheated piston that is cracked or has damaged ring lands can cause low compression and allow oil into the combustion chamber and on into the exhaust. You would likely see a lot of blowby coming out of the blowby tube and blue smoke. A bad turbo oil seal can allow oil into the intake or exhaust side and can cause blue smoke. Also, a cylinder not firing (injector not working) can cause a little bit of blue smoke by letting some oil up past the rings and into a cool cylinder. I've had it happen on my old 1st gen with a clogged fuel filter on the highway, rough running and blue smoke.

The only time I saw what you're describing is when a dumptruck wasted its turbo and head gasket behind my house. The motor was spewing white smoke. White smoke seems to me either unburnt fuel or antifreeze entering the combustion cahmber.
