magnet on oil filter

The engine will run smoother and quieter as well. You can even get better radio reception by sticking them on the antenna. If they magentized the entire block it would probably become perpetually self-sustaining, requiring no fuel at all to start and run.

Yep at least 5 MPG or maybe more like 7 MPG. You see it aligns all the fuel molecules in a linear pattern rather than random pattern as without the magnets. Sorry guys I could not resist as I could feel the tension in the air from previous discussions on this thread.

Eric.....Do you have a link or a good source for the Rare Earth magnets like you used?
I found that it was just as cheap to go with the FilterMag products for the rounded filters. I called them and they gave a good discount for quantity purchase: http://www.shopfiltermag.com/

Eric.....Do you have a link or a good source for the Rare Earth magnets like you used? How much are these? I also run the Fleetguard 2 micron filter too....downstream from the stock 7 micron and pre-strainer. I've considered adding a 2nd 2 micron filter too. Might not be a bad idea to wrap my filter with one. TIA.

Well, it's obvious that there is alot passing through the 20 micron and 7 micron filters. I guess it would be reasonable to say then, that for the most part, the conglomeration seen is comprised of particles smaller than 7 microns. I'm not sure what correcting could be done here, other than follow up with high quality magnets and a good 2 micron filter as well.

When I was paying attention to the ford site I recall a similar thread and a guy suggested harvesting the magnets out of an old PC computer and sticking them to the sides of the oil pan.
I immediately thought of the Chi Chi Rodriguez magnet and thought if it makes you happy do it.

Mistress Cleo told me to use the magnets and wrap the air filter in tin foil. It didnt work. I took the foil off and it works great now. See, magnets do work!!
Seriously, I use magnets on the oil pan, trans pan, and oil filter. When I change fluids there is metallic paste on the magnets. Not being a scientist I just figure its better to have the gunk on the magnet rather than floating around in the fluids. But who knows, I could be wrong. Just ask my first wife! Total cost, about 26.00, pretty cheap feel good mod. Magnets last a long time.
