Ok, so i just crawled under the truck since the driveway is finally dry, there is definately clearish smoke somewhat like exhaust from a warm gas engine, as best i can describe it. It isn't lots but it is pretty noticable, how much is too much?

 

If it is pretty noticeable, your burning oil at a pretty hight rate. If the truck was running normal you have to look really hard to even see the vapor coming out. You also stated you saw white smoke rolling out when you removed the filler cap and thats not normal. Hopefully you've caught this problem just early enough to prevent a major engine over haul.

 

ya, i bit the bullet and scheduled it to go to the dealership that built the motor, its got a month left of warranty. Thanks for the help guys.

 

Let us know what they say. My friend is having this same issue, losing oil at an incredible rate. Truck runs great, doesn't smoke terribly but has a Bullydog on it. We had to put 8 quarts in the other day.

 

Any updates? I'm losing about 1 quart every 1000 miles.
